How is Falkon different from centralized BI and modeling platforms like Looker?

While both platforms allow for metric definition and modeling, Falkon is primarily focused on automated analysis and notifications. In Looker, the user needs to specify how they want to cut their metrics and has somewhat limited analysis options, while Falkon automates this process by searching across all available dimensions on the metric to identify the most important or interesting changes using a range of techniques, including mix shift analysis, contribution analysis, and more.

Looker also provides some notification ability but it is largely predicated on manually configured fixed thresholds. While Falkon allows these types of notifications, it also performs anomaly detection and dynamic, benchmark-based notifications which require less ongoing maintenance to stay relevant.
