Bigeye co-founder Egor Gryaznov, infra engineer David Nguyen, and staff engineer Eric Sayle have each been responsible for data warehouse and lake performance at Uber and very well know the pain that comes with performance degradation. Bigeye’s metrics collection framework is designed to take advantage of data warehouse performance characteristics to reduce the peakiness and total load generated when adding monitoring to hundreds or thousands of tables.
